The United States Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration (MARAD) recently announced the award of ship management contracts for its Ready Reserve Force (RRF) vessels. Patriot Contract Services, LLC. (PCS) won three of these contracts, more than doubling the number of RRF ships under its management.
PCS will continue to manage the CAPE ORLANDO and ADMIRAL WILLIAM M CALLAGHAN in Alameda, California. The Company will assume management of the "Cape T" vessels (CAPE TRINITY, CAPE TAYLOR, and CAPE TEXAS) and "Cape V" vessels (CAPE VICTORY and CAPE VINCENT), all of which are berthed in Beaumont, Texas.
Each contract, including extensions, runs for up to eight years.
PCS looks forward to managing these vessels on behalf of the U.S. government, manned with crews from the unions it partners with.
